Celebrating the Milestones of 2018

Posted on Posted in mindset, Uncategorized

As 2018 soon comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment and reflect on what I’ve achieved this year running Reflective Wisdom offering leadership development encounters with the Points of You method. The year certainly provided unexpected and yet precise opportunities that have provided a lot of growth and new learning. Here are a few of the stand out moments I will cherish from 2018.

Setting Intention

I began the year attending Vision Fest  having the chance to create a vision board for what I wanted to manifest in 2018.

Presenting for ATD

My first presentation of the year took place at Penn State – Harrisburg where I was invited by the Central PA Chapter of the Association for Talent Development for the January meeting. Chapter members had a chance to play with the Coaching Game.

Trusting the Process

The teaching staff at Wee Care Day School discovered the importance of cultivating their own social-emotional well being  during their February Professional Development Day.

A Chance Encounter

The highlight of February was traveling to California to begin my Points of You Master Facilitator training and had the pleasure of meeting co-founder Yaron.

Latino Empowerment Project

The 2018 Cohort of the Latino Empowerment Project participated in an eight week development course intersecting identity development and community leadership. The participants enjoyed using the Coaching Game exploring how they want to authentically engage in Lancaster County.

Baldwin Leadership Retreat

The members of the Baldwin Leadership Program invited me to facilitate their two day retreat at the Logan Inn. They had a chance to play a Points of You Layout Chart I like to call Your Highest Potential Outcome as they worked on their Personal Leadership Plans.

Off to Poland!

In April, I had the chance to achieve a long time desire to travel. I flew to Poland to meet with Points of You co-founder Efrat and spend a week in
Głęboczek Vine Resort & Spa with 19 other Master Facilitators in Training.

The Equity Exchange

Public and private school leaders came together in St. Louis, MO to attend the Equity Exchange. Participants used the Points of You games to explore problems, possibilities and polarities in education.

When I’m at my Best

I was invited back to Wee Care Day School for their fall professional development day and they had a chance to play my Photo Album. Each staff member created a photo arrangement that expressed who they are when they are at their best at work.

PA State SHRM Conference

CEO and Creative Director, Samm Smeltzer from Leadership Arts Associates had me tag along with her to Penn State and present at the annual PA State SHRM Conference. We had a blast inviting attendees to play with the Points of You games and explore their HR path and power.

What’s Our Collective Potential?

The Leadership Team at the AACA Car Museum enjoyed playing Our Winding Path, Conditions and Contributions and Compass Points to better leverage their strengths.

Inaugural Board Retreat

Africom board members and their community partners gathered together at Bartram’s Garden for their first ever board retreat.

Understanding Differences

Leadership Lancaster Core Class members had a chance to experiences the game of Faces exploring identity during Understanding Differences Day.

Off to Jacksonville, FL!

I was invited to present the Points of You tools with independent school administrators and educators at the annual Florida Council of Independent Schools Conference. They were very intrigued with how the Coaching Game can be used to support advisory time with students.

Then to Nashville, TN

The best was going to Nashville, TN to offer a half day seminar at the 31st National Association of Independent Schools People of Color Conference.

Points of You helps re-frame your mindset.
